Meet Adam McCauley

Kyoshi  Adam McCauley 

Adam McCauley: A 7th degree martial artist with 40 years of dedication. Since 1993, he has pioneered a distinguished martial arts organization, sharing invaluable knowledge to law enforcement, empowering women through self-defense, and safeguarding children from abduction, bullying and providing confidence building tools to thousands of students and promoting over 400 black belts over the past 30 years. As a certified bodyguard and last resort tactics instructor, including active shooter response training,


Adam's expertise is unparalleled in ensuring personal safety on and off the mat. Recognized with prestigious accolades such as earning a PhD in Martial Science, the “Action Martial Arts” Lifetime Achievement award and induction into the “U.S.A Martial arts” Hall of Fame, he continues to inspire excellence in the realm of martial arts by “Building Better Bodies & Stronger Minds!” But his greatest achievement is helping children Belong, Believe & Achieve Greatness in life. Period!


Adam McCauley believes in building a strong foundation of self discipline, self-esteem and respect that can be transferred to all the things you love to do – both outside of the dojo and during training!

Meet  DJ Disisto

Sensei DJ Disisto:



DJ has been training at Go No Sen for over 25 years, beginning at the young age of three. Over the years, he has honed his skills in a variety of styles, including Karate, Wrestling, Boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Kickboxing.


He was also part of the first class of Leadership Team at Go No Sen Karate, showcasing their dedication to not only improving himself but also his community.


In recognition of his lifelong dedication to the martial arts, he was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. His passion for martial arts is matched only by his dedication to understanding and improving the human body, as evidenced by his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.


He is a true martial arts athlete and scholar, and we are excited to have him running our Go No Sen Yorktown Location!

Meet Tyler Smith

Sensei Tyler Smith:



A GNS student of 20+ years. As a founding member of the GNS Leadership Team, Tyler has honed his teaching skills and character over 15+ years.


Tyler is constantly looking to instill the values of accountability, integrity and consistency in all of his students. Tyler specializes in GNS Instructor/Management Training.


He serves as the head of the prestigious Leadership Program, Martial Arts Professional Program, AIM Program and EMP Program. Tyler is the Manager of the Peekskill Location.


Tyler strives to embody the GNS vision of: “Showing Up, Stepping Up and Keeping Up!”

Kids enjoy a fast-paced, fun filled, self defense workout that helps them grow in a positive, well disciplined, yet challenging way too!

Fears and concerns about grade school, peer pressure, bullying, or making decisions alone can be scary.
